Large dots are the servers (approximate locations), small dots are measurement clients (RIPE Atlas Probes).
The color of a client represents the server it was assigned to connect to through geo.warpcs.org, resolved by the local resolver.
You might notice that some clients have been assigned an address far away from them. This can have several reasons, including inaccurate IP geolocation data, or recursive resolver requests with source addresses located far away from the original client and without support for the EDNS Client Subnet Extension (ECS) (Cloudflare DNS for example...).
